When they first came to me, D&D wanted to plan not one, but TWO wonderful celebrations. First, an intimate affair with 50 guests at a private estate in beautiful Breckenridge, CO. Followed by a fabulous, fun reception for 150 guests at Denver's coolest hotspot, Union Station. (Psst, See more on that wonderful event here!)
This savvy bride works in the event industry, so she was clear on what she loved and didn't love from the beginning. To maintain some continuity, for both events we stuck with a unique color palette that the bride loved. Inspired by orange calla lilies (given to her by her groom through the course of their courtship), we paired an unexpected rich purple, complemented by black, white, and touches of gold.
We embraced the mountain setting of this private estate and added touches of vintage and understated elegance to soften and elevate the feel of this Colorado setting. One of many details to enhance the comfort and experience for guests at this spring mountain-top wedding, was luxurious faux fur blankets to cozy up for the outdoor ceremony, and later around the fire pit as guests enjoyed making s'mores. It doesn't get much more Colorado than that!
